Faiz Ahmed devoted his life to the game he loved, beginning his journey with Canada Basketball as an intern and rising through dedication, hard work, and an unwavering passion for excellence. He played a meaningful role in shaping the national coaching curriculum and contributing to high-performance programs across both the men’s and women’s game. His efforts were part of a broader foundation that supported Canada’s remarkable achievements on the international stage, including the historic bronze medal performance at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
His coaching journey carried him across continents, where he shared his knowledge and love of basketball in Macau and China. There, he contributed to the success of the China Women’s National Team, helping guide them to a silver medal finish. Faiz’s commitment to development saw him work alongside elite athletes, including those in the NBA and WNBA, where his insight, mentorship, and dedication elevated those around him.
At the grassroots and preparatory levels, Faiz’s influence was deeply felt. His time at Bill Crothers Prep, Thornlea Prep, and Orangeville Prep was marked by his genuine care for young athletes.
