Mr. Obrecht devoted 45 remarkable years to Maclay School, first shaping young minds as an English teacher and later serving as Director of Admissions for the past 30 years. In that role, he became the heart and soul of the school’s welcoming spirit, greeting thousands of families and guiding them through one of the most important decisions of their lives. For many, he was the very first face of Maclay—a warm smile each morning, a reassuring presence, and a reflection of the values the school holds dear.
