Born on February 16, 1978, Glen carried forward a proud family legacy of service. Following in the footsteps of his father, the late Chief Dean Mathison, and his brother, the late Captain Scott Mathison, Glen devoted his life to protecting and serving others. For 30 years, he faithfully served the Town of Winchester and the Town of Clayton, becoming a pillar of strength, leadership, and reliability within both communities.
As Fire Chief, Glen was more than a leader—he was a mentor, a colleague, and a friend. He inspired those around him through his dedication, courage, and compassion. His presence brought reassurance in times of crisis and unity within the department. To his fellow firefighters and EMS personnel, Glen was someone who led by example, always putting others first and embodying the true spirit of service.
