Alex Deangelo Parkersburg, WV Obituary-Death

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of Alex DeAngelo, 26, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on April 4, 2026, at home. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Alex was the beloved son of Louis V. DeAngelo Jr. and Kristen (Davis) DeAngelo, and a cherished brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth and love to all who knew him.

Alex was a quiet yet deeply expressive soul, whose love for his family defined his life. He found his greatest joy in the simple, meaningful moments—sitting around the table, sharing meals, laughing with his siblings, and asking, time and again, “when will Mom be here.” Those small but powerful expressions of love captured the depth of his connection to his family, a bond that will forever remain unbreakable.

He worked alongside his father and brothers at Southern Craft Restaurant, where he became more than just a helping hand—he was part of the heart of the place. With a uniquely refined palate and honest opinions, Alex played an important role in shaping new menu ideas, never hesitating to offer his signature, heartfelt critiques. His presence in the restaurant and at home was constant, grounding, and filled with love.

Alex had a passion for sports, especially his beloved LSU teams, sharing that enthusiasm with his brother Louis. He also had a creative spirit, often turning to painting and drawing as a way to express himself and find peace. Though he was the quietest among his siblings, his heart spoke volumes—filled with compassion, empathy, and a deep care for others. Whether laughing at Aiden’s humor, listening to Isabella’s lively impressions, or guiding his younger brother Leonardo, Alex’s love showed in every interaction.

His family remembers him as someone who never forgot to say “I love you” before parting—a simple yet powerful habit that now serves as a lasting reminder of the love he carried in his heart.

Alex is survived by his loving parents, his siblings Louis III, Aiden, Isabella, and Leonardo, his nephew Louis IV, and a large extended family who will forever cherish his memory. He is reunited in heaven with his grandparents, now at peace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Vienna, with visitation Friday evening at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.

In honor of Alex, his family asks that we gather, share meals, laugh, and love one another—just as he did every day. His memory lives on in those moments.

Rest in peace, Alex. You will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
